It isn't right

It won't be the same. Like Ant without Dec, Posh without Becks, Cameron without Clegg (can we check this last one? - Ed)

Some things are just meant to be together - such as you, Stephen, and DDG. The heart and the brain behind the team (which body part does this leave me? don't answer).

You've given the team a purpose and a wisdom which has served it well and the warmth and esteem in which you are held are obvious on these pages and in the reputation you have in digital circles way beyond Whitehall. You ought to be proud of what you've achieved here and you'll be a fantastic asset to your new department. Good luck, keep in touch and enjoy yourself

Jimmy

Bye from Ross

All the best, Stephen. You may not be getting a bust in Durbar Court or a Greco-Roman statue outside the DDG office, but your contribution to the FCO will echo for ages. You’ve done a great job for the Office and for the team’s reputation.

Health are lucky to get you.

Congratulations!

All the best Stephen

Best of luck in the new job and I will cast an eye over the Department for Health's web presence to see some tell tale Hale signs. Thanks for all the support on our various digital work especially during the wild west phase when we tried out what for then was new digital ground for the FCO.

On the blogs one memory stands out and that was staying until one in the morning one Friday night to get the newly designed blog platform launched. We missed out on Hoskers leaving doo.

Bye from Fouzia

Stephen, thank you so much for your help and support over the last year – you have been and continue to be, a complete superstar. You truly changed the way the FCO does communications and raised the bar by many notches on digital diplomacy. You will be missed and please stay in contact. The Department of Health is very lucky to have you.

Bye from Manal

Unbelievable that as I start to get to know nice people I work with I hear the surprising news that they are leaving!

Although you have been around for sometime, I only started to get to know you recently, simply because I work from home. Thanks to you I am now "hooked" on social media!

It was "shocking" news when I heard last week that you were leaving... but c'est la vie!

You will be greatly missed... and I wish you all the best on your next move. BUT I still hope we will still see you every now and then.

Manal
Dear Stephen,

So sorry I couldn't be here for your final send off. I'll look forwards instead to meeting you for a drink at the local DoH drinking place when you've settled in. You've been a fantastic and inspirational colleague and line manager. Thanks for always listening to me, nearly always commenting or replying to my tweets, and just being a fun person to have around. I am so pleased you've got this great job and also that Stan is doing so well. With all my love and respect. Em x
Stephen,

Thanks for all your help. All the best in the new role, hope to stay in touch.
